The Institute of Innovation in Logistics of Quebec (IILQ) is the College Centre for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) affiliated with CÉGEP André-Laurendeau and a member of Synchronex (the Quebec network of CCTTs). Recognized by the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur since 2008, the IILQ is the largest Quebec college training organization in logistics processes and transportation, and for over thirty years has offered a DCS program as well as several continuing education programs in its specialized field. The IILQ also offers technical assistance, applied research, training and awareness services in the field of logistics to Quebec-based SMEs. The IILQ’s activities cover the entire supply chain. Its mission is to increase the performance and productivity of Quebec SMEs by enhancing the innovation processes that will bring about  continuous improvement of their logistics functions. To this end, the IILQ offers SMEs applied research, technical assistance and knowledge transfer services in logistics and transport.

IILQ is regarded as an objective and independent resource that can propose solutions adapted to the needs and to the technological and organizational problems related to logistics functions in Quebec SMEs. Its expertise in logistics technologies is at the core of its digital transformations and Industry 4.0 services for businesses. This same expertise is recognized by clients, social and economic actors and active partners comprising universities, sectoral associations in the field of transport and logistics and public and para-public organizations. Since it was created, the IILQ has carried out hundreds of mandates throughout Quebec, in the context of providing technical and technological assistance to help SMEs select and implement new digital technologies including TMS, WMS, ERP and RFID. As a result, the IILQ has developed great expertise in the steps involved, ranging from interactive visits, pre-diagnostics, feasibility studies, process mapping and reengineering, through to specifications, needs analyses, and more. In the manufacturing logistics sector, the Institute provides personalized support in improving and/or integrating companies’ business processes as well as optimizing their warehouse management or layout and e-commerce. Turning to research projects, the IILQ designed a platform for managing beekeepers’ productivity and honey traceability from the hive to the fields, a collaborative Web platform for carpooling packages, and a solution for managing site equipment using the Internet of Things (IoT). The Institute of Innovation in Logistics of Quebec is also accredited by the MEI to perform Industry 4.0 audits (diagnosis and digital plan of the digital shift to industry 4.0).
